This paper reports the first comparison of the structure and electrical conductivity properties of spin cast (SC) and Langmuir-Schaeffer (LS) films of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). In addition, the effect of incorporating highly monodisperse Au nanoparticles (NPs), with a core diameter of approximately 5 nm, into SC and LS P3HT films is described. A detailed picture of molecular organization in the films has been obtained using ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray reflectivity. Film morphology was correlated with pseudo-two-dimensional conductivity measured using scanning electrochemical microscopy, with P3HT in the semiconducting regime. It was found that SC films, which were slightly thicker than those formed with the LS technique, exhibited greater organization. This resulted in an order of magnitude higher lateral conductivity for the SC films. Inclusion of Au NPs (50 wt %) into both SC and LS films resulted in the formation of uniform and relatively flat (rms roughness approximately 1 nm) composite films. Surprisingly, the addition of NPs did not disrupt the characteristic crystal structure found for the native P3HT films. The effect of Au NPs on film lateral conductivity was found to be determined by the distribution of Au NPs within the polymer, which varied significantly between SC and LS films. Whereas Au NPs aggregated into hexagonally packed clusters in SC films, NPs in LS films were predominantly uniformly distributed between the lamella bilayer. It was found that, while the inclusion of Au NPs caused the lateral conductivity to decrease in SC films, in LS films, the lateral conductivity increased by a factor of 2.  相似文献

Tetracyclone, 2a, reacts with C(6)F(5)Li to yield 2-pentafluorophenyl-2,3,4,5-tetraphenylcyclopent-3-en-1-one, 7, and 5-hydroxy-5-pentafluorophenyl-1,2,3,4-tetraphenylcyclopentadiene, 8, as the result of 1,6 and 1,2 additions, respectively. In contrast, treatment of 3-ferrocenyl-2,4,5-triphenylcyclopentadienone, 2b, with lithiopentafluorobenzene leads to 4-ferrocenyl-4-pentafluorophenyl-2, 3,5-triphenylcyclopent-2-en-1-one, 9, and 5-hydroxy-5-pentafluorophenyl-2-ferrocenyl-1,3, 4-triphenylcyclopentadiene, 10, the products of 1,4 and 1,2 addition, respectively. The structures of 7-9 have been established by X-ray crystallography, and the barriers to rotation (19-21 kcal mol(-)(1)) of the pentafluorophenyl groups in 8-10 have been studied by variable-temperature (19)F NMR. Nucleophilic attack at the ferrocenyl-bearing carbon in 2b is rationalized in terms of a zwitterionic structure in which the positive charge of the "cyclopentadienyl cation" is delocalized onto the iron atom in the organometallic substituent.  相似文献

A scheme is outlined for the separation of Li, K, Rb, Cs, Sr, Ba, Ce, Nd, Sm and Eu from silicate materials. The elements are separated by cation-exchange to provide groups suitable for mass spectrometric analysis, and are then further purified by anion-exchange. Results obtained by isotopic dilution analysis are reported for G-1, W-1, and the Harwell meteorite-in these measurements the alkali metals were determined separately from the other elements. Requirements are discussed for combining the procedures to form a more comprehensive method for use with a single sample.  相似文献

The ubiquity and favorable medicinal properties of flavonoids make essential the determination of flavonoid levels in various matrices. While developing a liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry method for the analysis of the flavonoid, apigenin, anionic oligomers and nitrate- and chloride-bound clusters of this compound were observed. Tandem mass spectrometry of these oligomers and cluster ions showed the cleavage of apigenin molecules from the precursor. The observation of these cluster ions shows the possibility of post-column derivatization techniques to enhance specificity in analysis. Copyright 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A highly diastereo- and enantioselective [3 + 2] acylhydrazone-enol ether cycloaddition mediated by a simple chiral silane Lewis acid is described. The reactions are highly practical, as demonstrated by a larger scale (5 g of the hydrazone) reaction in which the product was obtained after recrystallization in 93% yield and 99% ee. Evidence for a stepwise mechanism and a model for the asymmetric induction are presented, as well.  相似文献

To separate and identify the proteases, a substrate-specific, sensitive assay in sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyacrylamide gels after two-dimensional (2-D) electrophoresis has been developed. This method allows simultaneous determination of protease cleavage specificity, molecular weight, isoelectric point, and if necessary, amino acid sequencing. After isoelectric focusing in immobilized pH gradient (IPG) strips (pH 6-11) (first dimension), trypsin was electrophoresed in 12% SDS polyacrylamide gels (second dimension) copolymerized with Boc-Gln-Ala-Arg-MCA (4-methyl-coumaryl-7-amide). The gels were washed in cold 2.5% Triton X-100 and water, and incubated in assay buffer (6.3 mM Bicine, 100 mM NaCl). Trypsin cleavage of the peptide-MCA generated fluorescent 7-amino-4-methyl-coumarin. In 1-D gels, as low as 500 pg trypsin could be detected and trypsin band volumes correlated linearly with the amounts of trypsin (R(2) = 0.999). In 2-D gels, the lowest amount of trypsin detected was 1 ng. The linear regression of spot volume and loading amount was still good (R(2) = 0.974). To optimize renaturation conditions, 5x5 min washes with 2.5% Triton X-100 and water, respectively, gave the strongest band volume. For fluorescence development, an assay buffer at pH 9 was the best; incubation at 37 degrees C for 30 min was sufficient. The method has application for identifying novel proteases as it does not rely on antibodies.  相似文献

The silyl ethers 3-But-2-(OSiMe3)C6H3CH=NR (2a-e) have been prepared by deprotonation of the known iminophenols (1a-e) and treatment with SiClMe3 (a, R = C6H5; b, R = 2,6-Pri2C6H3; c, R = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2; d, R = 2-C6H5C6H4; e, R = C6F5). 2a-c react with TiCl4 in hydrocarbon solvents to give the binuclear complexes [Ti{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=N(R)}Cl(mu-Cl3)TiCl3] (3a-c). The pentafluorophenyl species 2e reacts with TiCl4 to give the known complex Ti{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=N(R)}2Cl2. The mononuclear five-coordinate complex, Ti{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=N(2,4,6-Me3C6H2)}Cl3 (4c), was isolated after repeated recrystallisation of 3c. Performing the dehalosilylation reaction in the presence of tetrahydrofuran yields the octahedral, mononuclear complexes Ti{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=N(R)}Cl3(THF) (5a-e). The reaction with ZrCl4(THF)2 proceeds similarly to give complexes Zr{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=N(R)}Cl3(THF) (6b-e). The crystal structures of 3b, 4c, 5a, 5c, 5e, 6b, 6d, 6e and the salicylaldehyde titanium complex Ti{3-But-2-(O)C6H3CH=O}Cl3(THF) (7) have been determined. Activation of complexes 5a-e and 6b-e with MAO in an ethene saturated toluene solution gives polyethylene with at best high activity depending on the imine substituent.  相似文献

Reaction of Pd(TMEDA)(CH(3))(2) [TMEDA = tetramethylethylenediamine] with fluoroalkyl iodides R(F)I affords a series of square planar Pd(II) complexes Pd(TMEDA)(CH(3))(R(F)) [R(F) = CF(2)CF(3) (9), CFHCF(3) (10), CH(2)CF(3) (11)], presumably by oxidative addition followed by reductive elimination of CH(3)I. The solid-state structures of each compound have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies, allowing the effect of increasing alpha-fluorination on the structural trans-influence of alkyl ligands to be examined. In these compounds there is no significant difference observed in the trans-influence of the three fluorinated alkyl ligands toward the trans-N atom, although a significant cis-influence on the neighboring methyl ligand is apparent. Oxidative addition of the same series of fluoroalkyl ligands to the corresponding Pt(TMEDA)(CH(3))(2) affords octahedral Pt(IV) complexes trans-Pt(TMEDA)(CH(3))(2)(R(F))I [R(F) = CF(2)CF(3) (12), CFHCF(3) (13), CH(2)CF(3) (14)] as the kinetic products. In each case, subsequent isomerization to the corresponding all cis-isomers is observed; in the case of 13, the stereocenter at the alpha-carbon results in two diastereomeric cis-isomers, which are formed at different rates. The molecular structures of 13 and its more stable all cis-isomer 16b have been crystallographically determined. Kinetic studies of the trans-cis isomerization reactions show the mechanism to involve a polar transition state, presumably involving iodide dissociation, followed by rearrangement of the cation, and iodide recombination. High dielectric solvents increase the rate, but solvent coordinating ability has no effect. Dissolved salts (LiI, LiOTf) show normal accelerative salt effects, with no inhibition in the case of added iodide, consistent with the formation of an intimate ion pair intermediate. The kinetic parameters show that the trans-effects of fluoroalkyl ligands in these compounds follow the order expected from the relative sigma-donor properties of the ligands, with CF(2)CF(3) < CFHCF(3) < CH(2)CF(3).  相似文献

Fluorescence and photochemical properties of phytochrome from the cyanobacterium Synechocystis were investigated in the temperature interval from 293 to 85 K. The apoprotein was obtained by overexpression in Escherichia coli and assembled to a holophytochrome with phycocyanobilin (PCB) and phytochromobilin (PφB), Syn(PCB)phy and Syn(PφB)phy, respectively. Its red-absorbing form, Pr, is characterized at 85 K by the emission and excitation maxima at 682 and 666 nm in Syn(PCB)phy and at 690 and 674 nm in Syn(PφB)phy. At room temperature, the spectra are blue shifted by 5–10 nm. The fluorescence intensity dropped down by ?15–20-fold upon warming from 85 to 293 K and activation energy of the fluorescence decay was estimated to be ca 5.4 and 4.9 kJ mol?1 in Syn(PCB)phy and Syn(PφB)phy, respectively. Phototransformation of Pr upon red illumination was observed at temperatures above 160–170 K in Syn(PCB)phy and above 140–150 K in Syn(PφB)phy with a 2–3 nm shift of the emission spectrum to the blue and increase of the intensity of its shorter wavelength part. This was interpreted as a possible formation of the photoproduct of the meta-Ra type of the plant phytochrome. At ambient temperatures, the extent of the Pr phototransformation to the far-red-absorbing form, Pfr, was ca 0.7–0.75 and 0.85–0.9 for Syn(PCB)phy and Syn(PφB)phy, respectively. Fluorescence of Pfr and of the photoproduct similar to lumi-R was not observed. With respect to the photochemical parameters, Syn(PCB)phy and Syn(PφB)phy are similar to each other and also to a small fraction of phyA (phyA″) and to phyB. The latter were shown to have low photochemical activity at low temperatures in contrast to the major phyA pool (phyA″), which is distinguished by the high extent (ca 50%) of Pr photoransformation at 85 K. These photochemical features are interpreted in terms of different activation barriers for the photoreaction in the Pr excited state.  相似文献
